SUMMARY:Westside Food Fest - Making Sauerkraut
DESCRIPTION:Fermented vegetables have many health benefits\, including live enzymes\, readily available vitamins and minerals\, and probiotics -and sauerkraut/other fermented vegetables are suitable for all (vegetarian\, vegan\, Paleo\, gluten free).\nBring a wide-mouth 500ml mason jar\, cutting board\, large knife\, and large bowl (optional). Participants will go home w/a jar of customized sauerkraut to ferment at home.\nAdults/families w/children 10 years+ are welcome – minors must be accompanied by a caregiver. We’ll have a Seed Library present – you can get some free seeds for your garden or swap or donate some. \nWestside Food Festival July 18-31 \nOver 40 free activities and workshops in a dozen plus locations around the Westside!
