SUMMARY:24th Annual Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields
DESCRIPTION:Feast of Fields is a wandering gourmet harvest festival that highlights the connections between farmers and chefs\, field and table\, and between farm folks and city folks. With a wine glass and linen napkin in hand\, you’ll stroll across a farmers field\, traveling from tent to tent (sometimes through the barn\, past the tractor or around the chicken coop) listening to live music\, and tasting gourmet creations from some of BC’s top chefs\, bakers\, food artisans\, vintners\, brewers\, distillers and other beverage producers.\nFeast of Fields are FarmFolk CityFolk’s annual local food celebrations and signature fundraising events\, held each year on a different farm in the Okanagan Valley\, in Metro Vancouver and on Southern Vancouver Island. Since 1994 FarmFolk CityFolk has celebrated more than 50 Feasts! \nThis year we are excited for the Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields to be hosted again by UBC Farm in Vancouver!\nAs a fundraising event we also offer – for sale – branded wooden plates to heighten your feasting experience\, raffle tickets for a chance to win fabulous foodie dream vacations\, a silent auction filled with wonderful prizes\, and\, of course\, we take donations\, for which we provide a charitable tax receipt. So don’t forget to bring some extra cash…it‘s for a good cause. \nAll of our food and beverage participants donate their product and time to Feast of Fields – for which we are very\, very grateful. Funds raised at Feast of Fields support FarmFolk CityFolk’s work to cultivate local\, sustainable food systems across British Columbia. For more information on how you can help us support sustainable agriculture and celebrate local food in BC please visit us at www.feastoffields.com \nOr\, donate today. Thank you. \n\nThis is an all ages event\, with “youth” tickets available for participants under 18. All participants 19+ years of age with “adult” tickets must bring 2 pieces of ID to receive a tasting wristband. \nALL TICKETS ARE FINAL SALE. We appreciate your understanding. \nTICKETS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT THE GATE.\nPLEASE WEAR SUITABLE FOOTWEAR.\nNO ANIMALS ALLOWED ON SITE (except the farm animals of course).\nTraveling from elsewhere? You can hop on the Feast bus that will take you directly to the farm and back.\nThe Feast Bus will depart from Melville Street downtown Vancouver\, between the Hyatt Regency Hotel and the Burrard Skytrain Station. The bus departs at 12:15pm\, please be on time. Tickets must be purchased in advance\, printed off or on your mobile device and brought with you.
